"The ability to collaborate with other junior sellers who are starting their careers. I still lean on my fellow college hires for technical and selling advice and collaboration. Our business model is dependent on a strong contingency of sellers in their 20’s and 30’s, and Palmer Holland provides many opportunities for growth and promotion. If you come to Palmer, you will have a support network to help you succeed."

"What truly makes Palmer Holland special is the people. I was green and without any sales experience or chemistry background, but I immediately felt supported across all departments. The first several months I spent at the corporate office gave me exposure to the unique culture Palmer Holland possesses. It was obvious that the people are the most valuable asset to this organization."

"No other company nor job offer matched what Palmer Holland presented me by fulfilling the criteria I wanted: a solid training program, a stable growth market, supportive culture, solid compensation plan, and a role involving travel. When I ranked these criteria against other, similar companies/offers, Palmer Holland won outright."

"The hook for me was the people I interviewed with at Palmer Holland. It was obvious that the folks I met were down-to-earth, reasonable people. Many times, career fairs are loaded with recruiters trying to overcompensate for a standard job. It was different talking to the people at Palmer Holland because no one came across as too pushy or too “selly” on why I needed to be here. The culture was apparent between everyone I interviewed with and knowing that we were a privately owned company."

We designed the Sales Internship Program to identify strong full-time Account Manager and Ingredient Consultant candidates while providing the opportunity to learn many facets of our sales process. Successful internship participants gain real-world sales experience, exposure to both inside and field sales, and interpersonal and career training.
We also understand that hiring an employee who can do the job isn’t enough to ensure long-term success. The internship is also designed to provide mutual exposure to all facets of our organization and our corporate culture. Think of it as a long-term interview, where we have the opportunity to learn deeply about each other and envision a future of success. Each intern works not only with his or her manager but also a dedicated mentor. While the manager will provide individual coaching, the mentor provides candid feedback and coaching in a supportive and holistic manner.

Our comprehensive training and mentorship program allows each Account Manager-In-Training to progressively apply knowledge through an initially structured and then flexible approach to both inside and field sales. The first six months of training lay the foundation for success. Not only will the Account Manager learn about the markets we serve, he or she will also acquire deep sales, product, and operations training.
After the structured training, each Account Manager enters a more flexible and customized training program where he or she continues to learn about our products and markets. During the following months—up to 24—the Account Manager develops the skills needed to manage a territory and drive business growth.
